What’s the World Aviation Festival?

The World Aviation Festival is the world’s largest aviation technology conference and exhibition, held every year in October at the FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa, in Parque das Nações. Bringing together over 4,500 attendees and 600 speakers across three days, the festival unites the world’s airlines, airports and their most senior executives in charge of software, services, marketing and distribution. 206 Tours
Organised by Terrapinn, the festival has established Lisbon as the global capital of aviation technology for three days each autumn – drawing decision-makers, innovators and investors from every major airline, airport group and aviation technology company in the world.

What Happens at the World Aviation Festival

The programme covers the full spectrum of aviation’s digital transformation: AI and machine learning, customer experience, loyalty, airline retail, payments, sustainability, cybersecurity, airport technology, ground operations and digital infrastructure. The conference runs across multiple stages simultaneously, with keynotes from airline and airport CEOs, panel debates, technology showcases and a large exhibition floor where the industry’s leading technology vendors present their latest solutions. 206 Tours
The Start-up Village provides a dedicated space for emerging companies disrupting the sector, while the networking programme – dinners, receptions and curated meetings – runs in parallel throughout the three days.

Who Attends

The World Aviation Festival draws a highly senior international audience: CEOs and C-suite executives from major airlines and airport groups, heads of technology, digital and commercial from carriers across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East, venture capital investors focused on aviation and travel technology, and the leading software and services providers that power the global aviation industry. With over 100 nationalities represented, it is one of the most internationally diverse corporate events on the Lisbon calendar.

Practical Information

The World Aviation Festival takes place at the FIL, in Parque das Nações, typically across three days in October from Tuesday to Thursday. The venue is well connected by metro – Oriente station is a short walk away – but for delegates with packed schedules, back-to-back meetings and evening dinners across the city, reliable private transport is the practical choice.
